Model One by RIA Eyewear is our founding style of sunglasses built to give uncompromised vision and protection on the tennis and pickleball court with a seamless, one-piece lens, housed in our patented Italian frame design. This pair features our newest lens, Transition HD+, a photochromic lens that adjusts tint intensity according to the amount of UV light in the environment, changing from transparent amber to dark brown and featuring a silver mirror for anti-glare. Whether you're playing in bright sun, overcast conditions, or inside under lights, this lens has you covered for it all.

Expedited shipping charges for orders that are delayed as a result of delivery service providers are not eligible for reimbursement by RIA. Please note that once a package has been picked up by the shipping carrier, we cannot adjust the service, intercept the package, or control when it arrives.

FAQ
Are the lenses polarized or non-polarized?
Our racquet-sport lenses are not polarized as polarized lenses block horizontal glare - while this is useful for everyday wear, it can have a negative effect on your depth perception on the court. When you need to see the ball clearly to time your swing, a polarized lens will be an impediment. Regardless, all of our lenses are still 100% UVA/B protective.
I want to try these on, where can I do that?
For now we are only selling from our website so that if you need anything we can help you directly 👊 - however, we do free returns for 30 days after buying so that you can try them on at home without committing. Check out our full return policy here.
Do you do prescription in this frame?
We currently do not, as prescription is hard to put into a shield style frame without adding an insert, which would compromise our frame design.

I was introduced to Ría by another Pickleball player and I’m so glad I took her advice. Light weight and comfortable. I love that I was able to customize the classic white with navy and coral nose piece as well as a coral arm sleeve. The glasses stay in place during active play but are not too tight at the temples. So comfortable I don’t even take them off between matches. Can’t wait for the weather to change so I can enjoy outdoor play with the transitional lens without glare. Worth the price!

I really love the transition HD lenses. The perfect darkness most of the time. Great in sun, and shade. There have been two situations that they didn’t work 100% for me. Both were super cloudy over cast days. The one day was a bit cold and foggy out as well, and they started a fog up at the top, but I still was able to play with them. I may get a clear pair of lenses for the rare California cloudy day.

I bought my RIA glasses for pickleball. I play nearly everyday and was advised to always wear eye protection from both the sun and possible ball contact. I love the lightness and comfort - but never did I realize the importance of wearing them more than when I was playing yesterday. My partner and I were at the net and he swung hard at a kill shot and the paddle flew out of his hand directly into my right eye socket - or what would have been my right eye socket if not for my RIA glasses. The paddle bounced right off - barely a scratch - and I was visibly shaken, but extremely thankful for the quality of these glasses. An excellent product. Thank you!
